Christmas Mantel 2011 Reveal!

Here are more photos of my mantel display in the living room this year for Christmas, this is just one of MANY posts I have coming up over the next week to get you inspired for Christmas, as I know many of you will be putting up your tree this week-end! Don't miss my post on Tips to Achieve a Designer Look Christmas Tree!!!

My color scheme for this vignette was turquoise with touches of silver and gold.

I pulled out all the stops, and brought out nearly every ex voto heart, Virgin Mary statue, and assorted other French accessories to achieve this look.

This Madonna statue was the inspiration for this entire display. I love the chippy, aged appearance of it! It is hard to believe this is a modern reproduction!

These ex voto hearts are a treasured find from last year.

These crowns and small mercury glass hearts are another fabulous find, as well.

The mercury glass beaded garland was a happy summer junking find. I paid $5.00 for a big bag of it!

This is a fun reproduction sacred heart, I will do a post this week on my favorite on-line stores and sources for fabulous French finds, including this!

Nestled in the crown is my collection of mercury glass hearts, a French tradition dating back a hundred plus years...most are reproductions from Marshall's and TJ Maxx, but one is a true vintage treasure, a gift from Tracie at My Petite Maison. Thank you again, Tracie, for this and the other lovely goodies from your Give-A-Way!

This set of Shakespeare books is an antique set I picked up for a few dollars at a yardsale at my old next-door neighbors!

This Madonna and Child is another yardsale find.

One last pic of all the goodies! I also want to point out that I spent less than $20 on Christmas goodies this year, and pulled through and re-arranged items I've had, some for years, to get this look! Many of my finds came from yardsales, thrift stores, eBay, and Etsy over the years. You don't have to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks! Check back later this week for more of my Christmas decor revealed! I hope to post something new every day!
