As promised, here is some more Christmas goodness. Plenty more coming this week, and more in previous posts.
You got a sneak peek of this about a week ago, now here is the whole shebang!
I've really been in a burlap and galvanized zinc mood lately. I love the color and textures they add.
This tree started off life as a super duper cheap tree from Big Lots about 5 years ago. I wired in lots of realistic faux pine, cedar, and fir branches to fill it out and make it look like a very expensive faux tree. Since I had all of the extra evergreen stems in the attic I didn't have to spend a dime!
I did buy a few ornaments to go with the woodsy theme, including a few acorns, and these mercury glass squirrels complete with bottle brush tails! The lovely Marseilles plaque was included in the blog Give-A-Way I won from Tracie at Mon Petit Maison.
I used lots of tiny mercury glass ornaments in chartreuse and silver, along with mercury glass acorns and pine-cones for this tree. The flicker-flame faux candles add a nice rustic touch to the whole.
Of course, I had to incorporate some bottle brush trees into the mix!
Do you see the mercury glass squirrel here? He is a German antique I found over the Summer yardsaling. He was the inspiration for this tree and display.
I hope you've enjoyed this tour of the lovely Christmas goodness I have going on this year. Check back tomorrow for more goodies!

The squirrel! What a find! It is all beautiful and you've just given me an idea of what to do with my zinc planter. I won't be a copy cat, I promise. But you said bottle brush tree and zinc and the light bulb went off. Thanks! :-)
I love how all of these elements fit so well together. Can't wait to see the rest of the room! Maybe you could even take some twilight pictures.
I love this--it is simple and beautiful!
Your tree is so pretty. I love how you used the burlap, the bucket and the mercury glass.

What a pretty tree! My sister had a dresser just like the one your tree sits on. It was in her bedroom when we were kids. Now I wonder if she still has it. Anywho ... I love all the decorations on your tree.
